Stick with a Zetus, it may cost a little more but you won't replace it for another 30 years.

Mine is a Vetus one l think. No markings l found and it is quite ok after twenty four years.

Perhaps I should try to plastic weld it. Don't think it would last though 1977 year it would have been fitted

Wish I looked that good after those years went by

Arrrgh! you mean the 'pong box'? My mistake.
That is what the dealer cooked on my yacht when we took the boat out for a test sail. He forgot to turn on the sea cock.

Abraid the surface and degrease. Use some of that epoxy and cloth and sheath the area. Even sirgallivants exhaust is an easy repair using a nylon hose fitting "Glassed" in. Mostly warm water in the exhaust when you open the seacock.

I would not muck around welding or glueing it.
I can not remember how much it cost the dealer when he had to replace mine but Fenquins, who are Vetus' reps in Oz could not charge more than fifty or eighty bucks for it.

I guess the plastic just got too old. lt is going to disintegrate soon completely being next to the engine heat all the time.
Mine, on the foto is isolated from any heat source except the minimal heat of the exiting warmed raw
water. It should never ever be hot hot, unless the see cock has not been opened. Than it will melt like on the other foto.
