Watching a vid on weather. At about 9 minutes he says the wind veers as the warm front passes over. Is this true in both hemispheres or does it back in the SH?

In the southern hemisphere low pressure system rotate clockwise as in the pic you posted in the northern hemisphere it's the opposite. The coriolis effect..

We rarely if ever get a warm front at Sydney.
This is a broad generalisation, it doesn't happen every time, but it is the pattern for a COLD front.
As the front approaches you have an increasing nor easter, warm to hot winds in summer. As the front passes through the wind backs to a sou wester and often strong. The wind then backs further to a sou easter. Given some days it backs to a nor easter.
And so it goes, usually.
Without mapping it out, It appears to me that a warm front would do the opposite and veer as it passes. A very quick google search tells me this is correct.

to add clarity or confusion, a low air pressure area is warm air rising, thus putting less weight/ pressure downward. As it rises the heavier colder air rushes in to fill the void.
