I'm having trouble finding who to contact for pile moorings at Bowen Harbour. It's not the marina. They told me they are run by Queensland Transport. I called them, they didn't know, they thought maybe maritime however the closest office is Airlie and they're not open until into the new year. Does anyone have a contact number for whomever is responsible for the moorings in Bowen Harbour?

Tie up and wait and see. ![]()
You have to go to the Harbour Masters Office on the north side of the piles. It's one of the western buildings next to a fish Co-op/processor.
Tie up at the public wharf just past the yacht club and use your dinghy to go over, its faster than walking.
Best to go in on a rising to full tide as its shallow [in 2015] just outside the harbour.
Sorry I couldn't find the phone number.
Have fun [with caution] as you tie up between the piles.![]()
Yep, harbour masters office. Pretty friendly and inexpensive. Have fish and chips at the co-op while you're there.
Cheers

Thanks everyone. Ideally I would talk to them before going because if they aren't an option we will not stop there. We need to keep our boat somewhere for a month or so. Also looking at the moorings in Townsville which are under a newly constructed bridge. Our mast does pivot, in theory, but I've never done it. So that's an option too. I'll get the number for the harbour masters office and see if I can get in touch. Thanks for all the great info.
