Hi all
I have a Lecomble and shmitt autopilot which I have just serviced and replaced all seals. L&S recommend ISO22 fluid but is there any difference between brands or any other considerations I should take into account before refilling it?

Other than the ISO rating I have nothing else to go off.

Cheers

ISO 22 is an international standard of oil/fluid. Brand should make no difference. It is a specification.

I never spend "cheap" on my yacht. My life depends on it.

Thanks Cisco, appreciate the feedback.

Is there a brand you recommend? As the old adage goes "Oils ain't oils!" so I'd rather get the best.

Penrite is a very trusted brand. I also use Bimrose oils which are top quality. You will need to find a distributor for Bimrose oils.
