I need to buy myself and 14yr old son some wet weather gear. Was supose to be our second ever race today, but chickened out because we had no wet weather clothing. Raining here in Lake Mac today.

Any recommendations please.
What to buy and where to get.
Sailing on the lake only. No blue water sailing.

Thanks.

I have two full sets of Musto HPX wet weather gear which I hardly ever use. The wet weather gear I use most is my long knee length Burke jacket. Available from most chandeliers and will not break the budget.

if you are after Burke gear, their outlet store has some good discounts:

+++1. The very best value for money you can buy. Bought a range of stuff overseas 15yrs ago, hopefully not ripping us off now they are set up in Aus. The price v quality is/was unbeatable.

Decathlon, I'd forgotten about these guys!
When I was in France commissioning the boat a lot of the local sailors recommended them as good quality and great value gear.
I didn't know they were in Aus, thanks FR.

that is what ''the sailing frenchman'' uses:

and he said it was good value except that it wasn't super warm. I guess he is talking about the ozean 900 jacket. I bought the same last month in sydney and happy with it so far, but did not experience really wet conditions other than a bit of rain.
