Hi All,
The new boat has a Volvo penta D1-30B sail drive, I think 2007 (hull is 07 but launched 09 so not sure). I am after the correct workshop manual. I have found D1-30 A but not B, anyone know the difference? I emailed & ended up with an American supplier to purchase & download but I would really like a hard copy version if they are available. Any one know of an Australian supplier? Or anyone have one they would be happy to part with?
Assume you found these; the first has many dwgs but maybe not the manual.

The j109 uses them - docs here but seem to be A.

This seems to be B but only elect system;

This site has the elect system manual also but so much else that the manual you are after might be there - if not the bloke in charge of the site surely would be best placed to assist you.................foe a small donation as per his site...............

Thank you r13, I appreciate your help & I found what I needed at www.marinedieselbasics.com/diesel-engine-manuals/volvo-diesel-engine-manuals/
I've got the same set up in my boat, one bit of advice, when you change the sail drive oil, don't use ATF VP have gone away from this to non friction modified engine oil, I use four stroke motorcycle oil, suitable for wet clutch applications. This stops the clutch cones dragging and ultimately slipping.
between 1800~2100 rpm you should get best economy, about 1.5 L p/h. Above 2500 rpm and it will potentially double.
cheers Richard
