I guess that most V.P. owners have discovered that the parts are a little overpriced.
The folks in this video were SO lucky that it was a holiday and the V.P. dealer was closed.
They ended up with a new replacement starter motor for 1/7 the cost of an original part.
That's right. For the price of an original they could buy seven replacements.

I won't go into my opinion of the original failure.

yes anything labeled marine is extra, Perkins/Shabaura engines are in all sorts of applications, forklifts are a good place to look, they eat starters and parts are competitively priced, is not a leisure pursuit application
