Hi all,

My ancient fiberglass dinghy decided to officially retire this weekend. I'm in the market for a new one but am struggling to find anything nearby in Sydney.

The guys over at Sunset Dinghies (www.sunsetdinghy.com/) have a few good options but it's a drive from Sydney!

Does anyone know a good supplier closer to Sydney?

I'm also open to 2nd hand options if anyone is looking to sell! Small and light is best (2 person, 7 or 8 foot would be ideal).

Cheers

You could try the Kimbriki Tip at the top of Tumble Down Dick Hill on Mona Vale Road just past the Terrey Hills turn off. They used to take all the lost and abandoned dinghies there. Give them a call on 02 9486 3512.

Northern Beaches Council has a yard/compound at Bayview Boat ramp where they occasionally sell impounded dinghies.

Jonathan the boat trader claims to have a wide selection. 0419 290 800.
There are advantages in having a daggy dinghy-the light fingered gentry might steal a nicer one.
