Wow, we got a pizzling. We were in iluka for reported 40-50knot storm the day before... and this was worse! Probably 50+ knots. We were laid on our beam ends a couple of times as we sailed on our 30kg sarca anchor. The secont time in as many days i have been impressed with its holding power. Kids were scared, but came through stoicly... a good learning experience. Only damage, the wind generator shed all 3 blades and took out a solar panel as it self destructed. These things have a "survival" speed of 49m/s or 95 kts!
the air breeze has seen better days.

even the tail disintegrated!

drying out today

Kids back to work.

Big River Sailing Club just short of the Bridge at Harwood was basically demolished in the same storm yesterday, sad day for all the locals.
