I need some new sail bags.
I can buy a new off the shelf turtle bag for $220 from a local sail shop.
Or I can get a custom made one in a light canvas from a local canvas factory for $160.
is there any reason not to get canvas?

Covers / bags ? Either way they're sacrificial. So long as the cheap cloth goes a season or two or three, then you could get newbies more regularly and look sharp all the time !
