Hi to one and all, I just bought a Ross and am wondering if there are other owners here in Aussie land that have one, particularly a mk1. I would love more information as to where it was built, who owned her and when was it built. She was modified and I have a survey letter from the last owner. All information appreciated. I have had three keel yachts and two RL24s . Thank you

Suggest you post this on the trailersailerplace site as per here also;

www.trailersailerplace.com.au/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=159114

Austin-Hopwood Boats is indicated as the builder in the below 2 links; I am 1/2 owner in a Ross930 and they possibly built it also.

In the above link GeoffR (Geoff Reichelt) has posted - and his 2016 project as here - a gaff rigged high freeboard boat from R780 moulds. He could have built your boat but maybe more likely a Mk 2 or 3.

Austin-Ross Yachts is indicated here but I would trust sailboatdata more than yachtdatabase.................

You have probably seen all the info here;

johncrawfordmarine.com.au/advice/trailer-sailer/ross-780

What were the modifications done to your boat? Surely the survey document notes the builder and the prior owner would know or have a reasonable guess based on the above information? What was the year of build?
