I keep mine in a airtight container which works pretty well.
Any ideas?

Yes Bb I've found them also good for handheld electrical devices like handheld vhf and gps and spare fuses.
i have found the soft tool bags no good to keep tools in, they must attract the moisture and hold it in, I just keep them in a hard, secure lid tool box, but yeah a large airtight container like sistema would be good I reckon with the occasional spray over once a year with inox or similar.

Yes I think that spray and wipe once a year is a great idea.

my main collection of onboard tools lives in an ABS instrument case, something like this:

I find tools wrapped in a heavily 'Lanoxed' towelling rag and kept in an plastic food storer box works pretty well.

This product is relatively new and a bit spendy but very good.

We use it on standing rigging.

As above Inox is also very good.
