what's your thoughts on the proposed bridges planned for the Brisbane river,
mainly the one from the dinghy dock at gardens point across to Thornton street ferry terminal?
planned to be at a height of 11 m.

Does it matter what the masted boat people think?
If we put it to a vote of cyclist/pedestrians vs yachts I know who would win.
We have had a good run over the years , and some of us haven't always done the right thing.

I notice that boat size is being limited in more and more anchorages/locations around Australia.
Lime Burners bay mooring area max LOA10.5 meters for instance (except for the 2 PARKS MOORINGS).
As a long time cruiser its just getting ridiculous trying to find anchorage in some of the busier locales
when a few 15 meter boats take up most of the available space.

11 meter bridge height is a bit like fitting a queen excluder to a hive ( for those that keep bees)

And NO, my vessels vertical clearance requirements excludes me as well.

Hah! That means the new $1 million RiverHub being put in for recreational vehicles at Gardens Point is for power boats only. It's upstream of the CBD green bridge. Or myabe they'll use that as one end of the bridge. :)
