I recently had a diver do a hull clean for me, and the 'after' video showed a decayed rudder shaft anode - which probably accounts for the slight "rudder shudder" that Im still experiencing post cleaning. I'll need to replace it in the next couple of months so I'll get under and measure if I have to, but offhand does anybody know what the shaft dia would be on a Beneteau First305, running a brand new Volvo Penta 19hp with a fixed two blade prop?

Ah, are you wanting to know the rudder shaft diameter or the prop shaft diameter? If it is the rudder shaft diameter, what bearing would the engine and prop have on that? Can you get to the top of the rudder shaft and check it there or if it is the prop shaft then it can be checked at the rear of the engine.

I just reread my post and realised my mistake. Yes it's definitely the prop shaft diameter I'm looking for, and of course I can check it at the engine. Must've been having a senior moment. Thanks guys.
