I am having my yacht antifouled next week at Rivergate Marina Brisbane,It is likely that I will move it to Auckland NZ in early February.(quite flexible)

Can anyone recommend an Insurance firm for this passage? plus a surveyor that works with the recommended insurer?

PS.
While I have been on board for a delivery of a past boat I owed, from the Whitsundays to Lae PNG. I will need a qualified Skipper/crew to take charge of the delivery. Of course it will be a commercial arrangement with agreed rate per day, plus airfare expenses etc.

But I would like to make it a bit more flexible on daily rate, if the trip was broken up with visits to Lord Howe/Norfolk Is. If weather and wind permits.

As a straight passage across the Tasman, can end up a bit tedious.

The boat as is as pictured 41 ft Islander Freeport....if we can get the right wind to fly both spinnakers maybe not so boring?

It completed a trip from the USA to OZ about 2 years ago (sailingissexy.wordpress.com/our-boat/) and I have upgraded the electrics etc since then.

I used Pantaneous Insurance for offshore sailing.

Not sure if you can visit Lord Howe after clearing customs in Australia. I looked into it when planning a trip to NZ but it seemed that the only way I was allowed to stop in at Lord Howe was to claim I had run out of fuel and needed to resupply. It may be different these days. Years ago you use to be able to clear customs there but not anymore.

Nortfolk may have the same issue. Never been to Norfolk, but I did read an article years back where the locals would prefer you didn't come. Apparently it is not a good place to a anchor and they don't like the prospect of searching for bodies after boats wash up on the rock.
