Before I rip my boom apart can anyone tell me the internal layout of an adams 10 boom. Mine has 4 sheaves that look like they are about 6 mm and currently take wire lines for the outhaul and reefing line. I want to change them to rope all the way through to the cockpit. I may also add a second reef line.
It also has a track for the outhaul car to run on.
Any pics or plans would be great

Wire for reefing lines......you sure?

Could be anything inside really and it doesn't really matter as you'll be replacing most of it.

What I would do....
- Strip down
- Get new sheaves made in suitable material
- Replace blocks inside as needed, replace everything wire with dyneema
- 10mm double braid would be fine for all reefing lines but if it won't fit through the sheaves, 8mm or even 6mm (if the clutches handle it) would be fine too.
- Remove outhaul track and use dyneema soft shackle for clew strap
- Paint if wanted
- Re-assemble using Tef-Gel or similar
