Hello comrades

When I went to Tasmania a couple of years ago I met some lovely people who talked about their cruising there and gave us lots of information about sailing there and back. They also gave me a flash drive which I was able to take to office works and then I had lots of lovely full size charts from Sydney to the bottom of Tassie. I like having paper charts because they allow me to have a great overview of the trip.

My son is taking our boat away this year (oh how the years pass by) and I would like to go over the charts with him. We have musty and pretty mildewey charts for up north (Sydney to Townsville). If there is anyone who has some jpegs that could be forwarded to me so that I could take a trip to Officeworks again I would be most happy. Email - philthompson67@gmail.com

I could pay for new paper charts, the boat does have properly paid for charts using the Open CPN program. I have the old musty paper ones as well. Paper ones are mostly for back up and getting one's head around the placement of dangers and tracks and newer ones would not smell like my old socks.

Of course if anyone is looking to sail south I still have some nice files on my computer.

cheers

Phil

Nice overview would be Mariners Atlas. Port Stephens to Jervis Bay,
Port Stephens to Bundaberg.
There is third one Apollo Bay to Jarvis Bay.
Those three been ever released, as far as know.

Sorry Phil, my raster charts are on the boat laptop in Tasmanian and of course I can't there easily.
There is one paper cart we used to always use for Hobart which gets you almost all the way to Tasman on one sheet.
Can't remember the Chart nos

Making me feel old! I remember your article on her construction, and the 'help' offered by your then 2year old son.
