Does anyone know if there is one of these for sale in Australia either new or second hand?

RWB and Vetus do low profile alternatives but the cut out hole is bigger on mine so they don't fit my dorade box unfortunately. I lost mine overboard off Cronulla last week.

Yes they are supplied by RWB, the 4" one is too small, the flange and screw holes are too narrow, my hole is too big for that one

You can clean out the hole, and epoxy some plywood in the hole. Then cut a hole suitable for the replacement cowling. Especially if the old size is no longer available.

Mate I think seeing as you saved money on the Kmart foam mats you should get some like these:

Pretty Gucci no?

Yes I think I will have to get new teak tops for my dorade boxes and start again. Perhaps with some Vetus vents?
The old cowls are still available in the US but freight is the killer. I will ring BLA again on Monday and plead my case and see if they can import them again.
My Cape Barren Goose turns 50 this year and those vents were still in great condition. The RWB vents i hear are good for a couple of years then the cowls begin to go mankey.

Yes very bling. $ ouch!
Yes I bought my mats when they were $10 each. One day I'll peel off the silver plastic backing and glue white vynel or something that will show up the mossies that got in before my screens were up.

I bought stainless Dorade vents from China over six months ago, they have held up well and cost less than the PVC from chandlers. Also cone with blanking plates.
Put stainless on your Cape Barren Goose, a great boat.

Thanks ECS,
Mmm they look great.
I found and ordered one yesterday from the US for $108au incl delivery. I will pass this on to two others that are looking for replacement vents.
