Hi all
This nice looking boat has been moored in the river for the last week or so
Not sure what she is but she is a pretty looking thing
Regards Don

Hi Don great photo, they both look good from were i'm sitting, When you see a yacht like the one in the foreground up on the hard they are pretty stylish below the water line as well. A similar looking boat was being brought back to life as you head around the bay towards the Cygnet yacht club last year, may be she.
cheers
Something makes me wonder if she is Pandora, one of the original One Designs..... Google google google.
Aha! See http://www.virtue.id.au/Onedesign/pandora/html/Pandora.htm
or on second thought, maybe not quite the right boat?
Very nice Don, love the old Tassie boats! Spent a fair bit of time sailing on a beautiful old Derwent class yacht down there. Built in 1929 and always held her own in the races. Was a lovely looking boat and a lot of fun to sail.
i did the restoration on vanity one of the one designs pandora is a heavily modified version as was vanity though at least they hadn't raised the deck on her
Aotea.
I've always found her beautiful, she was on a mooring in Lindisfarne back hen i learned to sail. She was at the Wooden Boat Festival earlier this year.

Pandora is for sale at the moment www.boatsalestas.com.au/sail-monohulls/tasmanian-one-design-sloop-pandora/176906/

Thanks for that info All.
Is that the old Peterson 2 tonner Sunburst lurking in the background of the above pic, Don, or is it one of the local one tonners?

Not the same boats unless it's gad a paint job and changed the rig.

Nah. It has got to be Sunburst. I was bursting to buy Sunburst a few years ago for $25,000 which is what she was listed for.
If you have ever sailed a Peterson IOR 2 tonner, your mind has been altered forever.
