Hello everyone.
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I'm getting ready to have my standing rigging replaced. Boat is a Waller catamaran 32 ft.
Before i do the rigging i am going to replace the cap shroud u bolts which are custom made.
When getting some pics i noticed the toggle pins have a ss sheave on them running in the u bolt.
Never seen this before and wondering if i should keep them?
Looks like a good idea but not sure.
So thought i'd check here.
Cheers.

They increase the surface area in contact with the u-bolt, this reduces the point loading and helps prevent stress distortion to the u-bolt.
