Guys, if anyone is relinquishing their mooring, or knows of someone who may be doing so (now or next 2/3 months) in the Pittwater area, please let me know.
Helping a lady getting set with her new boat; she has inherited mooring tackle but I've advised her to add a second block/weight to the current one since her boat is bigger.

Just having paid for surveys, engine maintenance etc. she's not to keen on another $1000+ for a new block of concrete; would rather pay second hand price if we can find one.

Hi there,
I've just relinquished a mooring in Bayview. If the person who gets the spot doesn't want it I'll get in touch soon.
Cheers

Thanks Yajissimo, very much appreciated;
I'll be monitoring this thread, and also my inbox in case you send a private message.

If it happens, I think a carton of beer or few bottles of wine would be in order.

Keep an eye on Gumtree - there are a couple of moorings (block and tackle) in Pittwater advertised now.

If you have a block mooring in Qld you have to sign a declaration that it is serviceable for the intended boat and that it is inspected every year. Inspected means either a diver or lifted to the surface and inspected. My choice is lift to surface as that then tests the chain. tony
