I went to the Lord Howe Rally meeting at SASC this evening. It was great to catch up with those going for a beer or two but I was surprised that at this stage there are only 7 boats planning to go.
If anybody wants to go there will be no problem getting a mooring, I think there are 14 or 15 available.
I am still after crew. Havefun is interested but work may get in the way.
Hi John, I really did enjoy the trip I did with you, was it three years ago, and I think I am still physically and mentally up to it and would enjoy it again.
However, SWMBO (you know what stands for) are going to Malaysia on 23/09, returning 23/10, (flights booked and paid for) which cancels my earlier expression of interest.
Malaysia will be a long overdue holiday for me but Langkawi has about 2 or 3 hundred yachts sitting there and maybe one or two need a boat sitter. Looking for opportunities to spend their winter there and our winter here in beautiful Bundaberg.
For anybody else reading this thread, if you want to have a great offshore sailing experience to and from an amazing place you will be hard pushed to find a better yacht and skipper to go with.
Cheers Cisco.
I have always wanted to do the lord howe but it is difficult to put that much time off at that time of year for me what a beautiful destination
What are the dates? Did a quick search but couldn't find any details
BBQ is in Tuesday 19 Nov. Boats will leave from east coast locations at various times. Aim is to be at the BBQ.
I'll leave on the Tuesday before from Drummoyne.
