I've been planing a trip to LHI. The plan was to leave Sydney on or around 1st December this year. Roughly 5 days over, 5 days on the island and 5 back, back in Sydney on or around 15th Dec. Plans have been progressing well until my mate has had to pull out suddenly due to family reasons.
I still would like to go ahead with the trip. Anyone interested???
The boat is a Cav 975, 32 footer, its in good condition and well prepared, I'm not going into what I've done to get her ready here, it would take too long. However I'm wont be going to sea in an ill prepared piece of ****. I'm looking at 2 of us going, maybe 3 . I may have a 3rd but still not locked in (non sailor but reliable).
Me??? I'm 59(just) got a bit of off shore experience but not heaps, Electrician, happily married for 33 years, been sailing for 17 years.
I consider myself a team player and fairly easy going bloke. I like a beer but it has its place on a trip like this.
You?? similar, especially the team player bit, experience is not that essential, I'd be happy with a good person more than a good sailor. I'll tell you what I dont need, I dont need another skipper, a card carrying nazi, a religious nut or someone who thinks society owes then something.
I'n not offering a South Seas Holiday, it will be hard work. You will need to be reasonably fit.
