This could be a good buy if it's as good as it reads.

Wow. Very good indeed. I know boats are selling on the very low side at the moment but that seems a bargain.

Lost me. All I see is a huge liability.

Good engine choice. Nice looking boat but the maintenance in man hours and dollars to keep it looking good would be a deal breaker for most.

This S&S 36 with a 300hr Volvo seems like a good buy, and it's been sitting around for a while now so it will probably go for low $30's:

Hi guys, this is our boat :) and yes, she is as good as she looks! We've had a fantastic 12-month family sailing sabbatical and now the kids want to be ashore.

We're keen to sell so we can move onto our next adventure, that's why she's priced so well. And no, not a lot of maintenance, well, we didn't think so anyway!

My husband is a commercial captain and has looked after her; yes he likes the engine too. It's a marinised tractor engine!! Robust and grunty.

We're genuine and have been blogging the whole time, you can check us out here: www.TheSeaStewarts.com. Come on over and have a look!

Hi Plumrocket

I read your blog today and it was very interesting

It is a shame that you are selling after all of the work that you did on the boat

When you started you indicated you only intended to do it for 12 months

Were you tempted to keep going at any stage

Good luck with the sale and your future plans

Regards Don

Its a really interesting boat especially as it has been sailing for less time than it took to build it ! I hope it finds a good home.

Listed on the same day is this Farr 43, biding has started at $1. Completely different thing :

https://yachthub.com/list/yachts-for-sale/used/sail-monohulls/farr-43-auction-from-1-00/216374

I love the inspection terms which require bidders to pay for the sellers travel costs !

i am based in Sydney I can travel to Melbourne for inspections if needed iam sorry to say i am the only one who can show the yacht there will be a cost involved to cover time & transport though if we have a few interested parties to share costs if needed this may work for serious buyers I will have ships papers & surveys with me for you to inspect (this will be cheaper that doing a slipping & survey by Farr! :)

That seems to be Jonathon's new routine and i think it stops the false bidding that was happening. This Farr is certainly interesting. I reckon she must have raced with a large crew, 17 bunks!

Good point! 8 bunks but how many crew in a Sydney Hobart race? Off watch would be hot bunking and sleeping on the cabin sole.
