Channel 9 on Saturdays at 1530 hours. 5 episodes, 1 gone last Saturday.

Well I watch the first episode and noted that they clip on their safety harness to a blue strap slung between the solar panel supports!!
Once the portage captain had gone the anchor snubber disappeared. Seems they liked to rug up in all their foul weather gear even with flat seas and the sun out! Were scared of sharks in Nara Inlet, that should have been of all the sewage discharging that takes place in there!

Oh well, they say they are learning so will have to see how it turns out.

BUT, as a solo sailor finding this series may show the wife just what I have done and where I went

I think Musto must have sponsored them. It's the only reason I can think of why you would wear full Musto HPX wet weather gear including hood and full face cover on a calm sunny tropical day.
Things are a little over done, but still nice to see all the places we visit and will certainly wet the appetite of all those who have dreamed of doing the trip.

I have seen a rise in wanna be livaboards lately , I think this is good if you have a boat on the market but not so great for rules and regulations and personal safety ! The good thing is most don't last long so the market may go the other way.

I couldn't believe it when my wife watched 30 minutes of this show without wanting to change the channel. First time she has watched any sailing type show at all.

I think it was mostly the scenery that was the appeal but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Can not believe someone would pay a diver to check for damage after a soft touch on a muddy bottom in a marina. Lucky he didn't live in Moreton Bay.
It is amazing how many people are sailing round the Whitsundays with the same amount of experience that these guys have. It's always scary when in a marina and these people are trying to get into the berth beside. Don't know haw many boats I have had to fend off.

Lots of people watch the Tour de France for the same reason. Sailing, on the other hand, is fixated on televising events run in the shadow of high-rise buildings, and wonders why people don't watch or get into sailing.

Good on 'em!

Stepped way outside their comfort zone to try something new, and filmed it!

Overly cautious, lots of rookie mistakes, stressed out quite a bit, but still getting out there and giving it a go.

There's been more monumental WTF moments from the current and last Volvo Ocean / Clipper Races to be anyway critical of these newbies!
