Looking for ideas as to mount a shell cased life raft on the boat.
My preferred location was around the transom/pushpit, but real estate is a bit tight with the dinghy on davits for trips away.
Sliding hatch garage (cabin top) is the next most logical location but we want to be able to easily remove the life raft and support cradle for local racing etc. I was thinking just pad eyes but I'm concerned that it may still need some kind of brackets to stop it moving around.
Any suggestions?
Mine used to sit in the cockpit ,just before the entry ,handy seat /table . I always wondered about how I would launch it if it came to that, but I figured with adrenaline in my system it would not be a problem . No it didn't cover any of the drains.
