In the last couple of days my Garmin Echomap sonar 95SV was stolen from my moored boat at Nords Wharf Lake Macquarie area NSW.
The unit will have stored trips in Lake Macquarie.
They did not take the transducer.
Police report has been made.
So if anyone knows or finds out anything it would be appreciated .

This happened to me last year. The NSW Water Police did an amazing job and arrested the 3 guys involved. All were adequately punished. Even got some of the stolen gear back. Hope you get a similar outcome.

Hi
How did you make contact with the Water Police?
I got put off down the line trying to report and finally to the police assistance line.
I was pushed to report online and said there is no reference for boats so finally the guy gave in and took information .
He had no idea what a boat was in anyway.

There is a police assistance line number 131444 where you report crimes. You talk to a police civilian who takes all the details you have available. The job then gets placed with the correct body to investigate. From when I reported the theft I was contacted 2 days later by Port Kembla Water Police. They were professional and thorough, even finger printed the boat.
