Hi
Looking for recommendations for some work to be carried out: slip and antifoul, electronics installation.

Thinking either Marmong or Marks Pt.

Experiences? Advice?

Thanks
Tracey

They're both OK - I used Marks Point with my 28'er a couple of time but have been using Marmong these days.

Marmong is much bigger with more facilities & they lift you out & put you on the hard whereas at Marks Point you are slipped. You used to be able to get Sundays for free!!!

Both places let you do your own work or they will do it for you & both will give you a quote over the phone.

If you need anything done here (Lake Mac) Tracey I am able to help any weekends but am pretty busy through the week with work at the moment.

Cheers,
Larry

I ha've used both. Prefer Marks Point as they let me stay on the yacht over night. Morning Point is on hard stand and you can drive up to drop and pick up boat gear. Not sure on current costs as my experiences were 5 years ago.

Thank you again and, especially you Larry, for your lovely offer of help.

Nothing is certain yet. Flying down this coming week to inspect an Arends. I know she's tired, however, if not beyond redemption, may be the one.

Now I have my Farr B30 to find a new home for.

Kind regards
Tracey

I have used various services on Lake Macquarie over many years.
The last 5 years at Mark's Point with no issues.
New owner over this time so considerably better than the past.

Used Mamong great staff but the company runs on bankers hours, 7am till 5pm. daylight saving and you get the 4:45 call to pack up and be out by 5 just as I was about to get another coat on the hull, not living close by this was a pain and costed more for the extra days. Don't know if this has changed but serviced my outboard and wanted to give it a tank run only to find they don't have one. Using Marks now for the extra hours to work and as above able to stay overnight and with good staff.
