Hi Crewloose,
Can you have a word down there with your southern neighbours and keep it contained please, it's starting to bleed over the border, I'm flying up tomorrow to bring the boat home from Yeppoon, so I am hoping for some nice idyllic cruising weather, preferably 10-12knots NW would be good.
Then I see this appear on Sunday , just in time for our run down the coast.
As long as it doesn't trend into a southerly bias I'll be doing cartwheels , every time I travel south on this coast I end up with 30 knots on the nose.
If it does I'm blaming SA and Victoria. The least they could do is warm up the air mass a bit, us Qlders are susceptible to the cold.

It's definitely SA. I fear they are using their big battery to test the wind turbines in 'active' mode.

Maybe they can be placated if you all send some, still flapping, chrysophrys auratus ...(www.abc.net.au/news/2019-08-07/sa-minister-proposes-three-year-ban-on-snapper-fishing/11393520)

Humbly suggest you pack the trysail and the drysuit.

Nice pic, I just left Weipa after a 3 month stint, guessing that's from the alby hotel.

S.A got a few 50 knot gusts as the wind changed from NW to SW for the change, back down to 5 to 10 knots dark and cold.

Yep after 4 years of coming up here they finally let me have a Friday night somewhere that doesn't have an alcohol ban. What a great spot and always nice to see the sun set into the sea.
Commiserations to those down south.
