The well-known Hurrica V has finally been sold, but unfortunately it won't stay in Australia - the new American owners will be taking it home to San Francisco. I had the privilege of being toured over this magnificent yacht by the skipper/caretaker back in 2012 when when i was doing my coxswains cert. it was first put up for sale in 2012 at $3.99m, after the filming of The Great Gatsby(released 2013), in which it featured. Latest advertised price i could find was $1.85m , so they got a real bargain - I was told the restoration cost was well over $8 mil

It was at the Sydney boat show one year. You weren't allowed on it but it was still such a beautiful sight.
I hope someone will really use it now.

I can't find the actual article Bb, but I do recall that the new owners were going to put her into the classic superyacht racing circuit over in the states so hopefully she will be well used.
Bugger, I just noticed the heading of my post not spelt correctly - damn you autocorrect !!!

And she has her own website too:

No doubt the new owners will be employing somebody full time to keep the bright work up to scratch.

Funny you should say that - one of the adverts for it a few years ago used the line "The Ultimate Gentleman's Parlour On Water" as their main selling point!
