Less than 10 days to go and the forecast is looking great for
WinterBash IV on 27-28 July. This is real sailing - take on the sea and the weather in a true test of your seamanship. You are competing against the other competitors but you are also testing out your own skills.
Day One, the Three Can Bash sets you the challenge of sailing a course without it being set up to suit the winds - you sail the course as is - tides, seas and wind are your challenge. Day two is the real test - Woody Point to Shorncliffe, back up past Redcliffe and return to Woody Point . Depending on the class and the wind we will tailor ithe course for a real competition. The winds are looking good for really enjoyable reaches at this time of year. The seas should not be up too high so it will be a really enjoyable day. All classes are welcome with two divisions of OTB cats and dinghies and a division for the trailer sailers. For the juniors we have a special program in the bay with some special events. Come and score extra points for conforming to Rule 1 - Have fun.. Day one will be completely different to any other regattas and day two will be all about endurance. After the day is over sit back over a cool drink in a casual friendly environment give all excuses and tell the the lies - at HYC we don't mind - the bigger the story the better it is received. Let us know if yo9u want to camp - the activities go on well into the night. Save yourself ten bucks - early registrations are looking good so check in here www.hyc.net.au/events/26660/ to see who else is going. You can register at the same time.
The NOR is at the same location
