I have 20m of galvanised 8mm anchor chain that is spare so lays unused in the bilge (dry). It has in the past had some salt water on it so is corroded a little in a few places. I'd like to coat the whole chain with something to protect it from corrosion while it lays ignored in the bilge. The coating should dry so that when it does get used I won't be confronted with a slippery mess. Any suggestions on what to use ?
Deodorised fish oil, buy it at a car parts place. Spray it on and let it dry, job done.
