Been lurking around the forum a while but this is my 1st post.
I'm Sydney based & have enrolled in sail school. I'll be looking to buy my 1st yacht soon.
I've seen that the Top Hats & Compass are popular recommendations for a 1st buy, but what about the Halvorsen Hood 25?
There are currently 3 for sale on yachthub.

Don't seem to find much about this model... Does any body have any experience of these? Recommended for a 1st buy?

Never owned one but always admired them. They were always the classy end of the small racer cruisers. They seem expensive for that sized vessel but they always seemed to be well fitted out and definitely a quality boat. Still expensive for that sized vessel. The one on eBay [Port Stephens] has nice sails. I think they may be a bit short on headroom.
