Do any of you techsperts understand the GPS system re-set which is due tomorrow (Sunday 7th). All I have so far is that it is to do with a roll-over of the week count, and may affect older units.

Mine is a GME GP450, but I haven't got a manufacture date as yet, and even the tech dept at GME new nothing, as I don't think they do GPS anymore.

Hopefully I might get out sailing on Sunday and try it - seems to be the only way to check it's function.

If your GPS is more than 15 years old you MAY have a problem, if your GPS is less than 15 years old it is most likely you WON'T have a problem, this reset was allowed for in most recent (15 years or less) GPS receivers and therefore they should cope with the reset. Now, as to whether they will cope with the next reset depends entirely on if you will still own the same GPS in 1024 weeks time.

If your GPS is Glonass enabled then you also won't be having a problem, so that's kinda nice.
