Hi everyone.
I tried getting into Garry's Anchorage south entrance this afternoon during a rising tide and failed. My depth is 2.2m.
I was last in there in 2017 and had no problems.
I followed the markers and my C maps (which is up to date) but hit the bottom just past the west cardinal mark where the chart shows 3.5m LAT.
I managed to wiggle my way off it and had two more attempts before giving up.
I'm interested to know if anyone else has had difficulties here or similar problems with C maps.
Also, please be alert for those in keel boats at Garry's Anchorage.

Yes we had trouble there too earlier this month. You have to stay well away from the Western mark but having said that we drew only 1.85 meters.
I entered with ease last week drawing 1.9 meters, hugged the cardinal and port marks it was about 1m at waddy point when I entered. Lowest depth from my waterline was 2.5m . Another yacht I knew was coming out on my port side and he strayed out too far and bumped bottom. most of the other shallow transit points in the area I have had to keep away from the channel marks to find the deeper depths. ?????
