Here's a lot of work for someone with time and money.

I'd rather volunteer to solve the Middle East problems than take on that boat!

We have a bar over here in Perth called Rodney's Bait and Tackle. The bar is made from a salvaged wooden motor boat. It could inspire someone to take on this mooring minder:

That is the coolest looking bar I have ever seen. Love it.

nice looking bar, but, I could have done without the reminder of the temp in Perth, whilst I'm freezing here in Vic.

If you had a place (cheap) to haul out and breakup the older wooden boats you could make quite a return.
Many were made of of what are now rare and very expensive timbers, they may even command a premium as naturally weathered is sort after.

Some of the fittings could be resold or even scrap, lead, bronze, brass, copper etc collect good money.

Of course the plastic boats are a lesser return, and you have to pay to get rid of the plastic. But the neglected, but were once were a luxury yacht, has a lot of expensive timber in it.

Nice video on a folkboat that was found rotting in a yard purchased for 1 pound and beautifully restored. So it can be done as long as you have masochistic tendencies .
