Hi All!New member here, Living in Perth and recently just bought my first yacht. 24ft Van Der Stadt. Solid builld of a boat but has its fair share of work to be done. Will be picking it up next weekend from down Mangles Bay and sailing it up to Freo.

Picked it up quite cheap, with a bit of work to be carried out once summer finishes.
Will Be used as a River boat moored up at Nedlands Yacht Club

Does anyone have any info in the 24ft Vanderstadts? Previous owner mentioned it was built here in South Freemantle.

Also chasing a outboard for my tender (2-3hp) and a outboard for the yacht (5-6hp L/S)

Will update as I progress with the yacht. Its been a while since iv sailed :)

Thanks
Justin

You will have a lot of fun with that one.. I cant help you with your question, but if it needs work you have come to the right place. Just google HG02. He should come up ranked number 1 on a Google search by now. Honestly, Seabreeze should archieve that blokes threads as a one stop go to for yacht renos

Hi jgb,
when are you planning on moving her, I have a boat in the TCYC hardstand which looks like where you are. I work away but am home 10 days per month and am more than happy to give you a hand.
Keep in mind that the TCYC hardstand is a good cheap facility and if the fees are paid up then it is probably wise to keep her there and carry out any urgent work that needs to be done, much harder on a mooring.
If the Jinker comes with the boat you can launch and retrieve using the tractor so you still get to sail and have a good facility to carry out any upgrades you might want to do.
Either way I am home in around 2 weeks and can help you get her to Nedlands.
Are you going to sail then drop the mast at the bridge or motor all the way??
Cheers Phil

Hi Phil,Thanks for the message, You are correct it is on the hardstand at TCYC. I have a membership already at Nedlands and hoping to get her up there asap.
The Yacht is fine to sail, nothing urgent to fix.I work away alot aswell so trying to fit things in is hard but i think ill be around in 2 weeks.
As for dropping the mast in Rockingham or Freo im still undecided. Will keep in touch :)
CheersJustin
