Just thought i would share a couple of pics of my mates new (to him) Elliott 7.8

First race tonight and came in a close second to a fast 40 footer in the bottom pic that started a couple of minutes behind him in a race that lasted a bit over a hour

It is a speedy little thing and can't wipe the grin from his face

Regards Don

She must be quick, we've only seen her backside !
Maybe see the front when she rounds the top mark !

The problem I have is for a bout the last 12 months I have green giving him heaps every time we went past him on his old boat but now I think he is going to get his own back

The previous owner of the boat (Another Girl Another Planet) said she has been clocked at 22 knots down hill so there is a lot of potential when he gets the hang off sailing her

I went for a sail on this afternoon after work on AGAP and it is seriously quick in light winds

it was blowing around a estimated 8 to 10 knots (no electronics onboard other than a hand held GPS) and upwind with a no 3 headsail we were doing a steady 7 knots with the GPS showing 9 knots at briefly one stage on flat water

It is nice to sail and at 800 kg it doesn't take a lot of wind to get it moving

A David and Goliath battle with the little Elliott matching it with the 40 foot Radford
