Thumbs Up

Like we didn't already know that but I'm still a sucker!

School holidays so I decided to take the trailer sailer up from Sydney to Scarborough and then across to Morton Island.

Drove all Thursday from Sydney and Friday was a beautiful day in Scarborough but I didn't rig because the next five days were predicted solid rain and some quite heavy winds.
I thought the forecast might have changed as it seems always to be wrong but up until Saturday morning it was still pretty grim.
Rather disgruntled and headed for home Saturday with no sail.

Only made it back to Heatherbrae so parked in the industrial estate near McDonalds and discovered that the front hatch leaks quite badly into the front V berth in heavy rain.

Forecast from Sunday on at Port Stephens was looking good so rigged the boat today and launched tonight at Soldiers Pt after dragging a U bolt of a leaf spring on the ramp and having to pull back out and change a tyre that had gone flat just before the ramp.

Weather forecast looks pretty good still here all week but then again it looks pretty good at Scarborough/Morton now Grrrrrr!

Maybe Broughton Island will suffice.
