I had the tip of my forward headsail 'showing' during Saturday nights southerly blow.
It seems the winds were gusting at over 30 knot or more. I was away at the time and suffered some damage.
I understand the sail was flapping for hours and has suffered tears.
Do I repair at my cost or claim insurance?
As I have said in another post, my excess is only $50.
I am obviously aware that my premiums will probably rise.
I will post photos asap.
My question is 'Do I claim insurance'?

I'm pretty sure sail damage is not covered by most marine policies

Good luck

Also i would think they would depreciate based on age from receipt. Im just assuming but i know with canopies they depreciate about 20% a year.

Yes, my gut feeling is not to 'rock the boat' over a small issue
