Thumbs Up

Met the current owner of the East Coast 31 which was sunk by a diver in 2012. www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Sailing/General/Eastcoast-31-1979?page=1 Turns out he (the diver) was enthusiastically cleaning out a through-hull with a screw driver, and accidentally punched a hole in the weakened fitting. The leak eventually overwhelmed the bilge pump some time later.
A good reminder to check out so-called bronze fittings if you have any. And maybe one of those remote alarms which send an SMS if there is a problem?
