While working between Cook town and lizard I tried to take a series of pics showing the entrance to the duck pond. I couldn't get in there after a couple of atempts 4 years ago after touching the mud.... But using the sounder on the barge it seems plenty of 3 meter depth throughout. Hope this helps.

Cooktown is great, friendly and interesting locals, always a good time. I've been in with 1.8 and 1.3 draft at various times but things do move around, it can be tricky and hard to find a pocket of swing space with enough depth but it can be done and it's worth a visit.

Everything looked the same since I seen Cooktown last time 4 years ago. Cyclones come and we rebuild
