Hi all

In Tassie, especially in winter it gets pretty cold and when i my wife and i use the toilet first up in the morning as we sit down our rh bum cheek touches the side of the cold fibreglass sail bin in the bow of the boat and it give us a bit of a cold shock

I am thinking of getting a square of self adhesive suede and stick it on to the fibreglass in the spot where we touch the side but i was wondering if any of the forum members have another idea that might work

Regards Don

I have the very same issue with the seat being f f f f f freeeeeezing cold.
(based in the Uk this can be most of the year except for one week usually in July)

I have a fan heater and point it into the heads area (ive no doors on my boat) and that takes the chill off.
or, you could try a bit of old wetsuit, neoprene doesn't get as cold as other materials. The warmest is polystyrene but I doubt you'll find that on a thin sheet.

ooh, actualy, the stuff they use for surfboard bags is good for that. I lay on one of those when Im working under my car and its really warm to lay on.

Come to think of it Donk. Whitworths stock a lightweight material used for lining deckheads etc to stop condensation.
You can glue it on with contact adhesive, it'll stick to fibreglass OK and it's real easy to cut. Give that a try. I have
used this material and used spray adhesive, worked well.

You can buy contact adhesive in a spray can from Bunnings. Get that dead sheep on there

I would suggest gluing velcro strips along the sides and gluing the other side of the velcro in the back of the sheepskin rug. That way you can give the rug an occasional wash. Works fine in the back seat of my car. Ad some luxury to a H28.
