Just in case there is anyone else but me who didn't know this, I just realised you can save almost $40 on Club Marine insurance if you don't want their magazine.
I only found out by reading my renewal quote as it wasn't mentioned when I signed up last year...
And it will be on your renewal every year. It appears there is no way to opt out permanently.
Also there is a 5% discount if you renew via their website. For years they pointed this out in the renewal notice. They have now stopped pointing it out but you still receive it if you renew via the website.

Yes I was aware of that charge, a very sleezy practice I reckon. Good tip regarding the 5%, I didn't know about that, thanks.

Thanks for the 5% tip. My insurance was due next week, so paying by card puts it another 30 days down the road with $45 off.
Also be careful if you change bank details / credit cards / and in my case the back changes / up grades cards, if they can direct debit monthly payments they send an email then with out a phone call you may find your self un insured,
