def looks like a cav in the pics .... good cruiser , wont go to windward as well as a deeper fin . looks ok condition in pics , 2000 mod engine .
you would need to eyeball the yacht in and out of water . open to offers , could be a bargain deal .
I have a cav 37 fin keel 1900 long and that shoal draft one is the only one i have heard about would be handy here at portsorell its shallow.
We have a 1986 Cav 37 slightly different layout, was advertised as 1800 draft Turned out to be 2 mtr draft :-( Still bought her she is a great quick boat, currently cruising the east coast with a view to circumnavigate OZ over next 5 years Only ever heard of 1800-2100mm draft not that it couldnt be a 1500?
Hi there,
So I've bought, or at least put a deposit down for the shoal draft CAV37 in question, appears to be the only one built. It also has 3 cabins which suggests that it was perhaps commissioned by a family? If anyone knows anything about the history of this boat I'd love to hear from you.
Looks like a well cared for boat, checking out the snaps, it is pretty similar inside to my latter Bav 37. So not much has changed over the 30 years!
im sure you'll have a great time with Red Sky.
Even the Draft options are similar, mine is standard at 1950mm and the shoal version was 1750 I think with a bulb keel.
cheers Richard
