Mate just used this on the strong recommendation of certain excellent Sydney based shipwrights.
He reckons it will / should / could / maybe / might / hopefully get 2-3 years. I assume he put 2 coats on.

Does anyone have experience of it?
I recall that it might have been discussed on here before - so if I am bringing up old news apologies.
Thanks in advance.

It seems like it's made by Altex which is part of the multi national that used to be known as Resene Devoe, ABC1 etc. It's cheaper than Altex No5+ and is in a plain tin with no markings. I used to use ABC1 which was Altex in a plain tin. I reckon the same thing is happening here!
first used it 2020 it lasted well the first year with very little scrubbing ,2nd year the boat did not move much so it required more scrubbing 3rd year it was used more with 3 monthly scrubing and fist coat was starting to show i could of lasted another year but my anoids and drive oil were due. I redone it 14 months ago and have had to scrap itabout 1 month ago around water line, we have a lot of slime this year from heat and rain ,I am hoping to get over 3 years with careful scrubing. We don't get oyster shell growth up here so i am unsure if it is effective.
Great thanks all for responses. I will communicate with Altex before next slipping to try and sort the best afouling to use.
AltexNo5 and Carboline 3000 both have 414g/l VOC while Altex No5+ has 377-394g/l - so what is the "+" all about?
Obviously there must be a lot more than the VOC number in afouling performance. Serb would be able to explain?

The very helpful bloke at Altex explained that VOC = volatile organic content..........guess see here............

He said Carboline 3000 and Altex no5+ were the same products, and newer and better than Altex no5, and their top performers. He admitted the fouling rate at the moment was a nightmare.

I thought that would be the case. Those labels must cost a lot! I have Altex No5+ at the moment into it's second year and I'm impressed.
