Hey there, I'm a windsurfer come yacht owner I have a Northshore 33 that I need to sail home but am worried about getting it to the coast under the rip bridge etc. just wondering if anyone who has done this trip would like to do it again ? Or am I worried about nothing, I spoke to an old guy who sails down there and he just laughed when I told him it was my first trip. Anyway just putting it out there ??

I went out just before Christmas. My 20hp Yanmar struggled to get through the bridge at about Fort Denison high tide, 2 hours later would have been a better time. I would think that your NS33 should have enough power tho. Half tide rocks are a lot better since the dredging, but still requires some care.
Plan to have a slowish trip up the coast so you cross the bar at Swansea near the top of the incoming tide, preferably on the back of a Southerly. I may have some free time to lend a hand from mid March, but that may be too far out for you.
It is very doable solo with some planning.
