I would love to learn more about yacht sailing. I have experience with dinghy, cats and windsurfing. Have chartered a 39' yacht and sailed it shorthanded for a week in the Whitsundays. Unfortunately I work on Wednesdays and Saturdays (at Whitworths), so is difficult to get a spot at the usual yacht club racing.
East Freo YC races Keelboats on Sunday. Why not put your name/details on the notice board in the Members Bar....always people needing crew, especially with sailing experience.
NYC also race keel boats on Sunday arvos. Always room for crew on the crew board.
