Reading various forum posts recently, there seems to be something of a trend towards running less chain on the rode, in conjunction with one the modern anchors.
Anyone tried this? Are you happy with the results?

I was using my 10kg Rocna on sandy bottom without any chain with success in moderate winds on the recommendation of the vendor.
It was a test and it was a success but on rocky or coral bottom one is bound to use chain. More chain the better.
