Cheap too.

The blades alone are 600mm x 900mm. Not exactly discrete!

Saw similar on a power boat somewhere. Really looked bulky.

The vertical axis dimensions are 600 mm. That's not bad compared to propeller type generators,
Not sure if the horizontal axis at 900 is much bigger than prop type gennys with directional vane/tails.
Unsightly? Yes, but they all are aren't they.
Here is a site with a variety of prop type generators, Notice the prices and also the fact that no dimensions are given.

Just like the one I posted for the approach and price,

I like the idea of it. I assume it would be more efficient with catching the wind energy and I think a lot safer than long bladed propeller types.

The blurb on it's web site is in Chinese English. It would be good to read a comparative review in English English.

When it is spinning fast it would look like a ball which in white would not be too unattractive.

Not this year. Ran out of money.
Funny how that happens.

Complete junk! Hard to think of a design that could be more inefficient. Might be able to use it as a giant anemometer though!
